Hello friends 👋 I’m Jessica. I’m a co-founder of Radia and a Web3 content creator. If you’re new to the world of Web3, welcome 😀 In this document, I’ve curated and compiled the best resources I’ve come across that can help you deep dive into Web3. I plan to update it from time to time as I come across new resources, but please feel free to DM me if you’d like to add one.

How do I use this guide? Start your journey in the “Key Topics” section. Each key topic contains three lists of resources: “must reads”, “additional”, and “podcasts” (I’m an audiophile). If you’re new to Web3 or want to expand your knowledge, start by reading the 8 “Must Reads” for every topic. Once you’ve read through all topics, then begin moving through the other sections. While it's not always the case, think of the “additional” section as an intermediate level. Most links are articles, but there are some videos, podcasts, and powerpoints linked as well.

How to Get Started in Web3

  1. Create a wallet on Coinbase, Metamask, or Rainbow. This article explains everything beginners need to know
  2. Create an ENS domain
  3. Ethereum Name Service (ENS), the “GoDaddy” of Web3, is a naming system based on the Ethereum blockchain. With the open, distributed, extensible features, ENS's job is to map human-readable names like 'john. eth' to machine-readable identifiers such as Ethereum/cryptocurrency addresses, content hashes, and metadata. Basically, it’s pretty much your Web3 email address/username. Instead of listing my super long Ethereum address, I can use my ENS, jessicalawson.eth
  4. Buy Crypto from Coinbase
  5. Explore, buy, and mint an NFT from one of the most popular NFT marketplaces: OpenSea, Foundation, Rarible. Here’s my video on how to create an NFT on OpenSea
  6. Join and contribute to a DAO. Find one here
